PRESS RELEASE:
On December 18, 2024, a Santa Rosa County jury found Aubrey James Luker guilty of First Degree Premeditated Murder. Santa Rosa Circuit Court Judge Clifton Drake immediately sentenced Aubrey James Luker to life without parole in state prison.
On April 7, 2023, Toby Hill was seated outside a residence at the 2600 block on Salamanca Street in Navarre, FL. The defendant approached Mr. Hill from behind and shot him in the back of the head with a .380 caliber handgun. The defendant left the scene and was apprehended in a subdivision a short distance
away after neighbors observed Aubrey Luker walking through the neighborhood.
The arrest and investigation were conducted by the Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office.
