PRESS RELEASE:
(Escambia County, Florida) On December 4, 2024, Christian Isaiah Carter was sentenced to twenty years state prison as a Habitual Felony Offender by the Honorable Judge John F. Simon for Fleeing and Eluding Law Enforcement Officers. During sentencing, the State argued that the defendant was a danger to the community and that his actions warranted a severe punishment. Judge Simon took note of the defendant’s extensive criminal record and his lack of regard for the law.

The defendant drove at speeds in excess of 80 miles per hour through busy streets and intersections, endangering the lives of numerous motorists. After failing to negotiate a turn, the defendant crashed his vehicle and fled on foot. The Defendant was subsequently arrested and booked into the Escambia County Jail.
This case was investigated by the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office. Assistant State Attorney, Robert Little prosecuted the case on behalf of Ginger Bowden Madden, State Attorney for the First Judicial Circuit of Florida. For further information, please contact Mr. Little at (850) 595-4200.
