(Escambia County, Florida) On June 4, 2025, Jerry Keane Foster Jr. was found guilty of First Degree Premeditated Murder by an Escambia County jury. Foster was immediately sentenced to life in prison by the Honorable Judge John Simon.
The charges stem from an incident on September 9, 2023, where deputies responded to a shots fired call near Emerald Ave. Upon arrival they discovered Jarvis Johnson – who is Foster’s cousin – lying in the front yard with multiple gunshot wounds. The shooting was said to be over an ongoing family dispute.
The investigation was handled by the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office. Assistant State Attorney Robert Little prosecuted the case on behalf of Ginger Bowden Madden, State Attorney for the First Judicial Circuit of Florida. For further information, please contact Mr. Little at (850) 595-4783.
