PRESS RELEASE
(Escambia County, Florida), Ginger Bowden Madden, State Attorney for the First Judicial Circuit of Florida, announces that on April 9, 2025, Kizuri Dequan Jackson was found guilty by an Escambia County jury of three counts of Lewd or Lascivious Battery (victim 12-15 years of age). Following the verdict, Circuit Court Judge Amy Broderson immediately sentenced the defendant to serve fifteen years in the Department of Corrections followed by five years of sex offender probation. Jackson was also designated a sex offender.
This case arose after law enforcement was called to the victim’s house for a disturbance. Upon investigation, it was learned that Jackson had been having a sexual relationship that started when the victim was fourteen years old. Jackson was twenty years old at the time. During the investigation, Jackson’s DNA was found on bedding in the victim’s bedroom.
Prosecuting attorney, Ms. Carrie Gilmer stated during sentencing, “This defendant knew what he was doing was wrong. Evidence at trial came out that Mr. Jackson told the victim that the victim would have to lie about their age for them to be together.”
