PRESS RELEASE
(Escambia County, Florida), Ginger Bowden Madden, State Attorney for the First Judicial Circuit of Florida, announced that on October 30, 2025, Adrian Mark Enfinger was sentenced to serve three consecutive life sentences in state prison and was also designated a Sexual Predator by Circuit Court Judge John Simon. Enfinger was sentenced after entering a plea to three counts of Sexual Battery (while in a position of Custodial Authority).
This investigation arose from a report that Enfinger had inappropriately touched a minor child in his custody. During the investigation, the minor child disclosed that this abuse had been on-going for several months. When interviewed by law enforcement, Enfinger ultimately admitted to the allegations. Prosecuting attorney, Ms. Carrie Gilmer stated, “This defendant was the monster in this child’s life and there is not a mitigating factor ever in existence to justify the Court showing mercy in this case.”
The investigation and arrest were conducted by the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office and Assistant State Attorney Carrie Gilmer prosecuted this case on behalf of Ginger Bowden Madden, State Attorney for the First Judicial Circuit of Florida. For further information, please contact Ms. Gilmer at 850-595-4500.
