Jacob Daniel Price Guilty of Murder & Animal Cruelty – Leah Glisson, Assistant State Attorney

(Okaloosa County, Florida)

Ginger Bowden Madden, State Attorney for the First Judicial Circuit of Florida, announces that on March 11, 2026, a twelve-member jury found Jacob Daniel Price guilty of two counts of First-Degree Premediated Murder and two counts of Animal Cruelty.

Immediately after the guilty verdict, Circuit Judge David Oberliesen sentenced Jacob Price to two consecutive life sentences, with no possibility of parole.

During the trial, evidence showed that on November 13, 2019, around 4:00 a.m., the Defendant shot and killed his parents while they were sleeping in their bed at their home located in Crestview, Florida. The Defendant shot his father, Robert Price, twice in the head and he shot his mother, Jolene Price, once in the head.

The Defendant also killed Robert and Jolene’s two dogs, Nala and Cooper. Nala, who was sleeping in the bed with Robert and Jolene Price, was shot once in the head, and Cooper, who had run into the dining room, was also shot once in the head.

Assistant State Attorney Leah Glisson prosecuted this case on behalf of Ginger Bowden Madden, State Attorney for the First Judicial Circuit of Florida.

The investigation was conducted by the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office and the Crestview Police Department.
