On March 23, 2026, April Erin Oliva was indicted by a Santa Rosa County Grand Jury for First Degree Murder for the death of her 6-year-old daughter, V.O. Oliva was previously arrested for this charge on February 25,2026 and is being held without bond in the Santa Rosa County Jail. The case is set for docket day on April 30, 2026.
The arrest and investigation were conducted by the Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office. Assistant State Attorney Mark Alderman is prosecuting the case on behalf of Ginger Bowden Madden, State Attorney for the First Judicial Circuit of Florida.
