April 9, 2026

PRESS RELEASE

(Walton County, Florida) A Walton County Grand Jury indicted Landon Robinson, a 12-
year-old, on April 6, 2026, for Attempted First Degree Premeditated Murder, two counts
of Aggravated Battery while wearing a mask, Possession of a Weapon on School
Property while wearing a mask and Tampering with Evidence.

The indictment stems from Robinson stabbing two 12-year-old students and a school
employee at Walton Middle School on March 24, 2026. Robinson armed himself with
a knife before leaving home that morning and brought a mask for his planned attack.
After arriving at school, Robinson went to a bathroom, put on his mask and came out to
the hallway armed with a knife. He stabbed two fellow students and a teacher at
random, causing serious injuries. His attacks were captured on the school’s
surveillance system. Witnesses in the school were able to provide details on
Robinson’s location to 911.

Robinson left the school and threw the weapon of attack into a retention pond that was
later recovered by the Walton County Sheriff’s Office.

The apprehension and arrest of Robinson occurred shortly after the attack by Defuniak
Springs Police Department and Walton County Sheriff’s Office. Investigators with the
Walton County Sheriff’s Office conducted this investigation. Assistant State Attorney
Angela Liles is prosecuting this case on behalf of Ginger Bowden Madden, State
Attorney for the First Judicial Circuit of Florida.
