(Santa Rosa County) Ginger Bowden Madden, State Attorney for the First Judicial Circuit of Florida, announces that on July 29, 2026, Samuel Morris was designated a Sexual Offender and sentenced by Circuit Judge Clifton Drake to 17.65 years in state prison for Using a Computer to Solicit the Sexual Conduct of a Child and five counts of Possessing Videos of Human/Animal Sexual Activity.
In January 2025 the defendant was the subject of an investigation that targeted individuals who were communicating with minors for sexual exploitation. Morris communicated with a person he believed to be a 14-year-old female, and solicited her to engage in sexual acts with him. The purported minor was an undercover law enforcement officer.
After the defendant’s arrest, law enforcement completed a forensic download of the defendant’s cell phone which uncovered videos of adult men and adult women engaged in sexual activity with dogs and horses.
This case demonstrates the unwavering dedication of our investigators, whose meticulous undercover work led to the arrest and conviction of someone who posed a significant danger to the community.
