PRESS RELEASE
(Santa Rosa County, Florida) Ginger Madden, State Attorney for the First Judicial Circuit of Florida, announces that on May 21, 2025, Aaron Eichman was sentenced by Circuit Judge Edward Nickinson III, to 15 years in state prison for Aggravated Battery.
On March 23, 2024, in the early morning hours, the Defendant punched and kicked the victim in the face after the Defendant knocked him to the ground. The Defendant also struck the victim with a weapon and threatened him and a second victim. After escaping to a safe location, the victims called law enforcement to report the crime.
The Defendant was convicted by a jury of Aggravated Battery and Assault (2 counts) on April 3, 2025. The jury also found the Defendant to be a Prison Releasee Reoffender and a Habitual Felony Offender.
The Defendant was previously sentenced to 22.3 months in state prison for a Domestic Battery by Strangulation and Felony Battery. He was released from prison on October 22, 2022.
