Jonathan Butler Sentenced for Drug Trafficking – Assistant State Attorney, Angela Liles

PRESS RELEASE

(Walton County, Florida) Ginger Bowden Madden, State Attorney for the First Judicial Circuit of Florida, announced that yesterday Judge J. Ryan Love sentenced Jonathan Butler to 19 years in State Prison including a 15-year minimum mandatory sentence for Trafficking in Methamphetamine and Possession of a Controlled Substance.

On November 5, 2024, investigators from the Walton County Sheriff’s Office, caught Butler in the act of delivering drugs to Walton County for a sale. Butler had 12 prior felony convictions and 14 prior misdemeanors.

The investigation and arrest were conducted by the Walton County Sheriff’s Office. Assistant State Attorney Angela Liles prosecuted the case on behalf of Ginger Bowden Madden, State Attorney for the First Judicial Circuit of Florida.
