Samuel Bargerhuff Sentenced for Possession of Child, Animal Sexual Material – Assistant State Attorney, John Bennett Traylor

PRESS RELEASE

(Escambia County, Florida) On April 16, 2025, Circuit Court Judge John Miller sentenced Samuel Bargerhuff to twenty-one years in Florida’s state prison followed by 15 years of Sex Offender Probation on charges of Possession of Child Sexual Abuse Material, Possession of Images of Animal Sexual Activity, and Use of a 2 Way Communication Device to Facilitate a Felony.

In August of 2023, The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) got a tip that child sexual abuse material was being uploaded from a certain MediaLab/Kik account. On May 24, 2024, a search warrant was issued at the Defendant’s home where multiple electronic devices belonging to the Defendant were recovered. Electronic forensic investigations revealed that several devices in the Defendant’s room contained images of child sexual abuse and sexual abuse of a dog.

The investigation and arrest were conducted by members of the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office.
