Sanders was sentenced after being found guilty of Aggravated Battery on Victim 65 years of Age or Older with Great Bodily Harm by a Santa Rosa County jury. The guilty verdict was rendered on June 28, 2024.

On May 15,2021, at Stripes in Navarre, Florida, the defendant as well as many members of the Pagan motorcycle club attacked a sixty-seven-year-old local man. The victim suffered multiple subdural hematomas and facial lacerations.

At sentencing, prosecuting attorney, Kari Garrett argued that this was a senseless act of violence, that warranted a lengthy prison sentence.
